Creative mode is still taking time to mature and it might be yet another month before its ready, but I've made enough progress now that I feel confident in sharing some sneak peaks. First we have the range of new blocks: I've probably forgot a few and this is showing one wood type, most of these blocks will change per wood type. As you can see there is also a dyeing system were blocks with fabrics can change colours. This is done by applying a dye to the block so you can experiment easily without having to re-craft and replace the block itself. Next there is a new snapping system so certain blocks don't always need to be placed in the center and can instead snap to an edge: For now this only applies to the new railing, beams and sloped railing blocks but it will be applied to other blocks in the future. This was vital for these blocks so you can make nice balconies. Finally we have some basic shapes and beams: These were the real challenge because most of them can both be rotated and flipped, which meant rewritting a lot of the logic for the structure builder to support these changes alongside the dyeing and snapping systems. For now these shapes will be available with all wood and stone types but eventually I would like to apply it to things like glass, leaves and snow. I was hoping to also include half blocks but they are complicated to do in a performant way. I'll come back to them in a future update. I've also been building a house as a bit of a showcase to test everything works nicely. I'll share these structures on the Discord once the update is ready so you can have a wander around, in the future I'll try to have some example structures built into the game that you can unlock and play with them. I'll go into more details in the final patch notes but I'll list them and other big changes here so you can get a better sense of why this is taking me so long:

Swamp visuals got an overhual
Swamps now have frogs
Safety crouch has been added
Multi block placement spell to easily draw out lines or boxes of blocks
The new blocks can be unlocked via Milestones/Tech
Any block/item can now be recycled into experience
Player controller has had a significant rework in an attempt to address bugs like launching off steps
Lots of blocks with placeholder breaking effects have been given proper breaking effects
Tons of bug fixes for things like seeing through the world
Improvements to water visuals and performance
