Last week, v 0.0.1 was released, and since then, I added a little more content in this update than the last, as well as some more technical changes to try and reduce the frequency of crash reports. We'll does this update offer a possible solution... Burner drills! A primitive form of early game automation able to be unlocked in the tech tree after assemblers, and just before unlocking electrical science! They're slower than their electrical counterparts, but can be useful in accumulating a small amount of ore before jumping into electrical technologies! Between Oct 18th and Nov 1st, a small amount of Halloween-exclusive content will be available! Now for something that was added almost exactly 1 year ago in 2023, but will come back in 2024 for the post-launch community, Jack O' Lanterns! It will be available in the Temperate Forest biome of Tierra from mining pumpkins! Dreaming of making powerful Magtise tools and weapons, this player tries to mine it, but it's a fake ore, a dangerous fake! That "ore" demands you to stay away from its territory, and will use its fire shooting abilities to achieve just that! On death, players will be rewarded with actual Magtise ores, multiple nodes worth after intense combat with them! Are you ready to take on the risk engaging these "ores" deep down in Tierra's Magma Forests, or in the blistering heat of cave layers 800 and deeper? If a single file gets corrupted, as is the case in most of the crash reports, it's now much less likely to break the entire save unless that file is a critical part of the save. The game will instead take the player to a warning screen showing the list of warnings. Here it is in action with an example of a save where a few files have been deliberately corrupted for demonstration purposes!
