🔳 Sunday Devlog 21: Button Mashing!
Welcome back! Adding controller support continues to be a big job, so let's talk about how that's been going in this devlog!
Controller Monitor
The controller monitor is now done, showcasing all the controller inputs the player can use! But with all that said, I'm happy with how it turned out!
Controller Testing
The footage doesn't look any different from normal gameplay so it wouldn't make sense to send, but playing the actual game with the controller was tested, and it turns out that moving side to side with the joystick is hard!! It definitely takes time to get used to, but man.. it feels like I'm brand new to the game trying to use it, lol.
Getting there..
I certainly didn't expect 1.2 to take this long to do, but here we are over a month and a half into its development. Despite how grim it may sound, the one hour per day rule is still going strong! At this rate, I predict that the controller beta will really go up in 2-3 weeks from now, and that'll last about a week before the 1.2 release. It may come earlier though, we'll have to see. Working on this game has been a lot of fun and I can't wait to share even more stuff next devlog. Thanks for tuning :) -Encabulated Games
