💻 Sunday Devlog 20: Steady Progress
Hi again! This is gonna be another mini-devlog, but I'm still pretty proud to show stuff off today. Last week, I took on the task of working on the game one hour per day minimum. I managed to reach this goal, but I realized that my usual weekend turbo-bursts last a little longer than 7 hours, or one hour per day, lol.
UI Updates & Controller Monitor
The settings menu UI got updated this week to have a bit more personality, including a little EnryoSoft logo in the bottom corner and some snazzy icons next to titles. You'd be surprised by how much a little icon can help wrap up a UI layout in a neat package. The big controller itself turned out a bit bigger than expected, so it will likely be sized down, but it's a good rough draft of the final look! This still means that you can test a PlayStation's controller inputs, don't worry!
Next up..
The only major thing left for this update are some tiny UI changes, controller support, and adaptive menu music, so we will keep chugging away at that! I got hit with a light sickness earlier this weekend, but all it really did was make me feel a little tired. I'm recovering now, and will have relatively little in my way to work on the game over next week. The one hour per day discipline, while annoying to deal with, has actually kept me interested and always thinking about the game, so I think it's a good model to use going forward. Thanks for following the devlog as always! 20 devlogs ago I decided to start these weekly logs to keep me and the team on track and it has definitely paid off. Here's to another 20!
