Hey everyone! Today is the begining of the Steam Next Fest! And to celebrate, we have come with a big update for the demo! Which adds lots of interesting content, fixes and balancing improvements. Let's dive into the details! [h2]Changelog: 0.9.2[/h2] [h3]What's new?[/h3] [list] [*] Branch (timeline) selection is now available whenever we start a new run! Branches can have random modifiers chosen from a curated list. In addition to that, they will always have 2 base modifiers that determines the base difficulty of the branch. You can think of it as the base difficulty, like "easy", "regular", and "hard". There will be up to 3 branches on the full game (easy, regular, & hard), only the first 2 branches will be available on the demo. We also added a mini tutorial when you see the screen for the first time. [*] New spell card! Recycle: allows to remove a tower from the map and puts it back on your hand, you can place the tower again for free. It is very useful for moving towers that weren't well positioned. The tower keeps its level and it is reflected in the tower's card (when greater than lv 1). [*] New rare superior gem! Recycling love: Gives 1 recycle spell card. It can be picked up to 2 times. [*] The Recycle spell can be obtained on the skill tree as a starter card. It replaced the Demolish spell, and the Demolish spell replaced the Discard spell. [*] The Discard spell is not more available as a starting card. However it can still be obtained via superior gems. Up to 2 times. [*] Added a micro tutorial for the deck building screen. [*] Towers stunned by Bharisia have a new animation! It is clearer to understand and more consistent with the game's overall art style. [*] New mini boss added: Mega bat. 2 Mega bats will appear at wave 12 and fly around the player's base. Defeat them before they reach the extractor! The base value for gems extraction is now 100 (so, playing in "regular difficulty" will give you 150 per wave). [*] Players can now choose the "easy" difficulty, which provides less stats to the enemies. Sometimes due to random modifiers, the normal branch may become easier than the easy one, if you have enough luck! [*] There will be a "hard" difficulty (the third branch), but it will not be available during the demo. And it will require a [i][b]boss trophy[/b][/i] to unlock. What's that? You will hear about it soon... [*] Increased Bharisia's attack range from 500 to 600 when she is flying. [*] Increased Bharisia's attack range from 400 to 500 when she is walking. [*] Increased Bharisia's maximum targets from 2 to 3 when she is walking (flying was already 3). [*] Increased Bharisia's attack interval from 6 seconds to a random value between 6 and 7. Both flying and walking. [*] Bharisia's magic resistance increased from 50% to 60%. (ground and flying) [*] Walking Bharisia's gold loot increased from 600 to 1000. She now provides 150 gems and 2000 score points. [*] Gigantism cursed gem health increase effect reduced from +40% to +25%. [*] Dwarfism cursed gem health reduction effect increased from -10% to -15%. [*] Shaman's health reduced from 140 to 100. Their Magic resistance was also reduced from 65% to 55%. [*] Alpha War Wolf's health reduced from 1120 to 840. Its gold loot was increased from 325 to 650. [*] Fixed how tower upgrade prices are calculated. Per each level the upgrade price is correctly increased by 10%. Before it was increasing exponentially. [*] When playing a tower card its price will increase by its base price, instead of doubling the current price. For example, an archer tower card will now cost 60 -> 120 -> 180 -> 240. Before, its cost was 60 -> 120 -> 240 -> 480. [*] Spawners during a boss fight will re-spawn the enemies every 24 seconds instead of 6. [*] Slime mutation does not affect flying minions anymore. [/list] [h3]Fixes[/h3] [list] [*] Fixed an issue where 2x1 spell card didn't worked when there was a free tower card in the deck. [*] Fixed the Curses cursed superior gem not giving more curses if chosen again. [*] Fixed some superior gems that gave cards not giving another card when picked again. [*] Fixed an issue that was causing some superior gems to appear as "unlocked" even if you have never seen them. [*] Fixed tutorial gems gained been more than what was actually displayed during the run. [*] Fixed stats and stat upgrades displaying as 0 instead of 0.xx on non-english languages. Basically decimals were not being displayed to other languages. [*] Fixed various texts in Spanish and Portuguese. [*] Fixed an issue that was causing the wave to never end when a riflemen tower instantly destroys a creep that just spawned in a mini boss spawner. [*] Fixed Discord link in the game. [/list] [h3]Other[/h3] [list] [*] Added custom sound effects and "pff" smoke when destroying towers using the Demolish spell. [*] The "get a tower if all card are walls" effect mentioned in a previous update will now also include spell cards and curses in consideration. [*] Limited the game to 60 fps when Vsync is off. [*] Bharisia attacks' effect was updated to match the new Tower stunned animation. [*] Improved the reaction time of the player's hand. Now cards can be picked during the "draw animation", and it feels far more fluid.
