Development update #4

Hello hello! Welcome to our 4th development update of Iconia Defenders!
It's been a while since the last update, so this time I come with some news about what was going on in the last month.
This was particularly a huge chunk of work: We started to implement the story. We completed the tutorial, and also implemented various menu screens. We also started an official internal playtesting.
So let's dive in it!
[h2]Story & Tutorial[/h2]
The plot goes like this:

The Tree of Life is being consumed by a malevolent force known as the Corruption, you are an eternal hero tasked with healing its branches. Stripped of your memories and powers by a sacrificial act, you now wield the Gem Extractor, the only tool that can remove the corruption from the roots of the world. It is your duty to protect it from the inhabitants of Iconia, which are being controlled by the corruption itself as a self-defense mechanism from you.
Each defeat brings you back to the Tree's roots, where it restores fragments of your past. Your mission: purify the Tree's timelines, for each failed attempt leaves a branch doomed to corruption.
Embrace your destiny, reclaim your power, and save the timelines from a dark fate!

How everything is connected? Well, that's up to you to discover when the time comes! For the story-telling and different events in the game we have implemented a dialogue-based conversation, as shown in the following image:

In the same way, we have implemented the tutorial, that will guide you to grasp the basics.
[h2]Game Tips[/h2]
A lot of work was put on the UI, we implemented in-game tips for specific tips about certain mechanics not present in the tutorial. As you can see in the following picture:

At the same time, we have enemy information popups when discovering a new type of enemy. Which will include some stats and info about their skills:

Both the enemy information and game tips appear as notifications of the left side of the screen. So they will not disturb your game, and you can open them at any time. For example, in the picture above there is a game tip notification that I didn't open yet.
In addition to that, we have implemented the whole main menu screen, settings screen, In-game menu (pressing ESC key), and also played around with some tools and mechanics.
[h2]Internal playtesting[/h2]
We began to do an official [b]internal[/b] playtesting with a playable mini demo, to tweak the different parts of the gameplay and find specific issues.
