Greetings, Artificers!
The release keeps getting closer, and I'm getting to the final big development pieces!
Steam Deck UI Rework
While the controller rework was notably challenging, optimizing the UI for the Steam Deck proved to be almost as complex. Adjustments required innovative design solutions beyond merely increasing text size. The UI is now in a robust state, with the next step being a review by individuals for a fresh perspective on the details.
Clinic Upgrade
It's funny the things you end up leaving to the end. I've had the items/recipes/icons in the game for multiple years and meant to add the ability to add items to the Clinic, but something else more important always came up. Now, I've finally added it!
Defense Rooms Customization
I'm always trying to make Artificer's Tower better by balancing the game, smoothing out any issues, and making sure it's fun. Sometimes, I overlook simple but great ideas. Thanks to a very smart lady, I found a solution: allow more defense rooms! This update will automatically let Peaceful mode have more defense rooms and give players the choice to add more in Custom mode.
Key Fixes and Additions:

Pan Button Option: Thanks to @crazyturtle79 for suggesting an option for the panning button!

Enhanced Peaceful Mode: More defense rooms are automatically available, fostering a cozier gameplay environment.

Controller Integration: Fixed numerous controller-related issues for a smoother experience, especially on the Steam Deck.

Controller Keybindings: Refactored all the controls to set up more keybinding options for controller support.

Tutorial and UI Adjustments: We've made the tutorial more accessible and adjusted UI elements to be more legible, addressing feedback from our controller-using wizards.
Looking Ahead
The next major milestone for the game is integrating Achievements. I will dive in on ideas around this as I don't want the typical Collect 100 Metal but things that might be fun...
Stay magical,
Jason
