[h2]Hello everyone, and welcome to the announcement post.[/h2] As the title reads, [b]the free demo is finally live![/b] Anyone can go and try out the game [b]for FREE![/b] I've been working my butt off the last few weeks to get this out, so i'm both very relieved and nervous that it's finally public! I've been working on it as a hobby for the past year and a half, and i'm pretty excited to finally get it in the hands of some players. I'm a self-taught developer and artist, so it's been a bit of a rocky climb, but the game is coming out splendidly if I do say so myself. Anyways, enough about me... [h2]What's in the Demo?[/h2] With the demo version, you'll be able to get a good taste of what Alnico has to offer. The game starts with the beginner tutorial by default and will guide you through the various mechanics and how to play. With the demo, of course some features have been locked away. [list] [*] [b]Limited shop inventory.[/b] You'll only be able to buy 5 of the essential smithery tools in the demo. [*] [b]No Refinery or Furnace upgrades[/b], which means only 4 ore types and a limited number of discoverable crafting recipes, as well as the slowest and least efficient versions of these stations. [*] [b]No cheats menu[/b], which is the biggest bummer of them all. No 0 grav smithing? LAME! [/list] However, there is 1 plus side, which is if you purchase the full version, [b]your save data WILL carry over![/b] No progress lost, you'll be able to pick up right where you left off in the demo. [h2]With that in mind, please look forward to the full version when it becomes available October 25th![/h2] I'll be working hard getting things ready, I hope you all look forward to the full release!
