[h2][i]Welcome back Star Knights![/i][/h2] Star Knight: Order of the Vortex now has a beta branch you can opt into to test upcoming changes. This will allow me to test updates and make sure everything is working before adding them to the main branch. If you want to help test upcoming content and patches before they go live on the main branch, right click on Star Knight in your library, select properties -> betas, select the dropdown next to beta participation, and select the beta branch. The Star Knight application in your library will update and appear with [beta] next to the name. The beta branch includes a host of fixes and changes, as well as a brand new mid-run save system that will save your progress within a run. Now if you need to leave in the middle of a run or you run into an issue that causes your game to crash, that amazing run you had going will not be lost. There are some known issues/exploits with the system as it stands and I will be improving it based on feedback and other issues found by betatesters. The amount displayed by the shielder in the past was "+ 20" when it should have been "+ 200". This has been fixed along with a reduction in shield strength from 200 -> 100. So you will see the amount of shield go from "+ 20" to "+ 100". Know that this is a 2X reduction and not a 5X increase.
