[h3][b]Depth[/b][/h3] Each portal you enter will lead you deeper into madness. Depth affects several gameplay elements, unique areas are found at deeper levels. [h3][b]Idols[/b][/h3] Skeleton-made temples of idolatry that spawn more enemies. Portals remain closed as long as all Idols remain standing. The Totem skeleton points at the nearest Idol for you to dismantle. Idols may drop Brains or Arms. [h3][b]Shops[/b][/h3] Every now and then a Shop can be accessed from portals, where any unspent keys can be put to good use. A sacrifice can be made for a Life Chest as well. [h3][b]Chests[/b][/h3] No longer prevent portals from opening. Chest drop logic overhauled so no weapon drops when no arms are available to hold them. [h3][b]New bosses[/b][/h3] -Ghost Ship (fires canons and lays down bombs) -Big Ghost (scarier than small ghost) -Power Armor (promoted from previously hidden base enemy) -Snake Skeleton returns as main boss, pump king is taking a break [h3][b]New weapons[/b][/h3] -Pistol (fires one bullet and then reloads, occasionally fire a second stray bullet) -Chainsaw (turn on and off) [h3][b]New non-starting weapons can be acquired from Chests or Barrels:[/b][/h3] -Zweihander (swing around the body) -Halberd (thrust at cursor, swing when defending) -Canon (fires big bullet that splinters) [h3][b]Changes[/b][/h3] [b]Weapons:[/b] -Bone (triggers from hitting an enemy, spawns second bone) -Star (triggers from hitting enemies, expands outwards instead of in a circle) -Spike (triggers from hitting enemies) -Web (decays faster when hit by bullets) -Spear (defend with a spear to thrust at enemies, pushing them back) -Axe (changed graphic, now able to strike very fast by timing defends) -Crossbow (added sounds) -Claw (better autoaim) -Improved performance due to lots of changes to projectiles and enemy awareness. [b]Upgrades:[/b] Upgrade availability changes according to player level. At low levels only general attributes will be present but later on more specific upgrades will show up. In future updates, specific weapon and spell Morphs will be present on later levels. [b]Traps:[/b] -Bomb trap overhauled (explosion takes a second to damage the player, giving time to react) -Poison pool trap removed (will come back in the future, overhauled) [b]Shrines:[/b] All shrines now give you the choice of 2 base stats. Each Depth may feature different types of shrines. After some consistent worship, you may be rewarded with a Spell or Weapon related to the respective shrine god. [b]Enemies:[/b] -Skullface and Skeler variations for higher Depths -Deathbot now climbs up walls slowly -Sporebros absorb each other more consistently -Sludge fish is less of a nuissance -Skull Dog uses Bite skill to attack rather than just touching the player to prevent sudden death -Servant graphic and behavior adjustments -Iron hat, Murai and Bownes arm drop rate brought down significantly due to how consistent it is to acquire arms from Idols [h3][b]Known issues (will be addressed shortly)[/b][/h3] -Servants still pursue you when the game is paused -Hellowings sometimes still give up on shooting -Savage does not charge -Boss skullface may never show up -Bombs will often miss at some specific angles -Playing on a controller with locked aim may cause accidental weapon / stat pickups -Unicorn is shaking violently for some reason
