future update plan (June)

Hello, I'm runinzem, in charge of game design and art for this game. Once again, I'd like to share our future update plans.
Just like last month, updates are scheduled every other week this month as well. This upcoming update will focus on adding content such as adding final stages and expanding rewards rather than adding new units.
Before introducing our update plans, I'd like to address the user feedback and our improvements from the last patch. The following three points will be directly implemented in the 0.2.4 update before the 0.3.0 update:
Game Freezing Issue
In the upcoming 0.2.4 patch, code structural improvement will be implemented.
The game is currently experiencing continuous freezes for reasons unknown. As a result, a2no, who is in charge of the programming, has conducted a comprehensive review of the code and proceeded with structural improvements.
However, it's important to note that since the root cause has not been definitively identified yet, there is a possibility that the game may continue to freeze even after the update. Therefore, we use the term "structural improvement" rather than confirming a complete fix. We appreciate your active reporting if the same bug persists after the 0.2.4 update.
Rollback of Level-Up System
In the upcoming 0.2.4 patch, along with code structure improvements, the level-up system will be rolled back to its previous state. Furthermore, the Holomoney used for leveling up so far will be refunded (increased level X 100 for all units).
In the initial stages of game development, the current upgrade system was actually not based on upgrading through Holomoney but rather on a mechanism where upgrades were automatically applied at specific intervals when leveling up in-game. However, planning in this manner would prevent players from fully enjoying units at their maximum upgrade level, and since it made clearing the game too easy by simply owning all units, I redesigned the upgrade system to its current format.
The recent overhaul of the level-up system was also carried out in the same context. I deemed it unbalanced for characters to fully recover all their HP immediately upon leveling up, and considering that unit stats are more critical for clearing, we concluded that it was structurally problematic for players to easily clear hard difficulty without upgrading units. Therefore, we proceeded with the overhaul.
However, this decision resulted in a significant deviation from the game's direction. Players are now unable to progress through previously completed stages without earning money for leveling up, and the decrease in stats has significantly slowed down the rate at which monsters are killed, leading to increased boredom due to reduced in-game functionality. Even if there were structural issues with the level-up system, the complete overhaul that blocked players from doing what they could originally do was clearly a wrong decision.
As a result, in this 0.2.4 patch, we decided to roll back only the level up system as before. The system being rolled back is exactly the same as before, so you can enjoy the same style of play as before again.
Accelerate the pace of the stage.
This 0.2.4 patch accelerates the progress of the stage. The latency of the break stage is reduced, and monsters appear faster. First of all, we will check the reactions of the users, and if this improvement gets a positive response, we will further reduce the stage round.
Now let me give you a brief plan for the upcoming update 0.3.0 (scheduled 2024-06-22), 0.4.0 (scheduled 2024-07-06). The content below is unconditionally reflected in the update if there is no other reason, and some more may be added.
Update 0.3.0 (2024-06-22)
[*] A new unit 'Amane Kanata' will be added.

- Kanata is a melee range-attacker unit. The more you attack, the more you can stack, and you consume this stacks to give a powerful blow. The play method is to stack as much as you can on the normal stage, and consume the stacks you collected on the last boss stage, causing great damage.
[*] A new reward 'Random Box' will be added.
- This is a new random reward to replace the existing "unit gacha". You can get a "random box" with a certain probability each time you deal with the boss, and the type of random box that is dropped depends on the difficulty (of course, the random box that is dropped at higher difficulty has a better reward list). You can get a random amount of solo money in a random box, and you can also get a unit or skin with a low probability.
Update 0.4.0 (to be scheduled for 2024-07-06)
[*]Last boss 'La+ Darkness' is added.
- La+ will have a different level of difficulty than existing bosses. She has a completely different attack mechanism from existing bosses, and unlike the past, where there was no big penalty even if the pattern could not be avoided, the disadvantage of not avoiding La+'s pattern is much greater than before. As we proceed with La+ Boss Stage, we hope that users will have fun similar to how they play RPG games.
