This is the 1st update for the new "Infantry Beta". You can opt into the beta by following the instructions here... https://steamcommunity.com/app/2012140/discussions/0/3765605292796542767/ Infantry are currently represented as square blocks and this update is just a proof of concept for infantry loading and unloading logically from their APC/IFV. All BTR and BMP vehicles now carry an 8 unit infantry team. Be default infantry will remain inside their transports and will only disembark when in combat or when their transport vehicle detects and engages a target. This means what you should see is infantry units appearing next to their vehicles if you shoot their vehicle or if their vehicle shoots at you. infantry will load/unload 1 by 1. Infantry will currently not shoot at you, but you can shoot and kill them. The infantry units will simply disappear when killed. You do not get any points for killing infantry units. Obviously the next stage is to get some suitable soldier models into the game as well as some animations for walking, running, shooting and dying - but the base systems are now in place which is a good step forward. Other Updates 1. You can now reset your helicopter by pressing "r". This will instantly return your helicopter to its initial take off pad and re-orientate it correctly. This is useful if you are learning to fly and flip your helicopter. There's currently no penalty for resetting your helicopter but, in the future, it will invalidate the mission and you'll get no score. However, in the future, flipping your helicopter will likely destroy the main rotor blades which will result in a critical failure anyway at which point I'll add a "Repair & Reset" option for those who don't want to restart the mission in full. Again, you'll get no score for the mission as it will be seen as a "cheat", but it should help those who are just getting to grips with the game. ːsteamthumbsupː You can rebind this control in the "Control Settings" menu. 2. All helicopters have received a flight model adjustment. 3. MTOW for all helicopters has been recalculated and normalised so that when MTOW is reached your helicopter will only just be able to hover outside ground effect. Skilled players will be able to overload their helicopters further but doing so will most likely prevent the helicopter from being able to hover outside of ground effect until it has burnt or used a suitable amount of fuel/ordnance.
