After Early Access: The Future of Bigfoot vs Scots
First, let me take a moment to thank everyone who has supported Bigfoot vs Scots up to this point. The Early Access launch is a monumental milestone for me and Haggis Goes Wild Studios, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing players who’ve laughed, cursed, and explored the absurd yet lovable world I’ve created. Your feedback, support, and enthusiasm have shaped this game in ways I never imagined, and for that, I am deeply grateful. But Early Access isn’t the end of the journey—it’s just the beginning. So, let’s talk about where Bigfoot vs Scots is headed.
Expanding the Cast: New Characters on the Horizon
One of the biggest and most exciting additions coming post-launch is the introduction of new characters that will bring fresh humor, challenges, and chaos to the island. Here’s a sneak peek:

Bean-nighe :The harbinger of doom, this supernatural washerwoman has a habit of scrubbing blood-stained clothes by the riverbank, foretelling death. In Bigfoot vs Scots, she might just take a break from predicting doom to nag you about laundry etiquette or offer some surprisingly sage advice—if you can decipher her thick Highland accent.

Am Fear Liath Mòr (The Big Grey Man) :Towering and mysterious, this folklore-inspired giant brings a mix of terror and hilarity to the Highlands. Don’t let his imposing presence fool you; he has a soft spot for poetry and a surprisingly fragile ego.

A Bogle :Mischievous, spectral, and slightly unhinged, the Bogle thrives on chaos. Whether it’s setting bizarre traps or engaging in nonsensical riddles, you’ll need your wits (and a lot of patience) to deal with this trickster.

The Loch Ness Monster :Of course, no game set in Scotland would be complete without Nessie. Expect an unconventional take on the famous cryptid—she’s less about hiding in the loch and more about taking the piss out of tourists and locals alike.

Stagenwolf: A wolf-like creature with deer-like horns that roams the forest, adding yet another mysterious element to the island.
These are just some of the creatures that will be getting added in the next patch in March.
More Quests, More Shenanigans
With these new characters come new questline's that stay true to the comedy and absurdity that defines Bigfoot vs Scots. These quests will explore new areas of the island, dive deeper into Scottish lore, and push the boundaries of just how ridiculous—and heartfelt—a game like this can be.
From helping Bean-nighe sort out her “laundry list of grievances” to untangling a centuries-old feud between Nessie and a clan of Angry Neds (NED = Non-Educated Delinquents), every new storyline will bring fresh laughs and unexpected twists.
Listening and Growing
Early Access is an opportunity for me to connect with you—the players—and ensure that Bigfoot vs Scots delivers on its promise of comedy and absurd adventures. That connection doesn’t stop with the launch. Your feedback has been, and will continue to be, at the heart of this project.
Expect more patches, updates, and refinements as I polish the existing content, balance gameplay, and implement community suggestions. Whether it’s adjusting Hamish’s epic sporran quest or fine-tuning the menu system, every tweak is a step toward making the game the best it can be.
The Timeline for What’s Coming
While this is not carved into a Pictish stone, I hope this will give you an idea of where I plan to go forward with things.
After Early Access Launch
The first part will focus on bug fixing and sorting out any core gameplay issues. As a solo developer, please be patient with me—it might take a little time to get to the bottom of each problem, but they will be fixed. I will update you on when those fixes are coming, hopefully with small hotfixes rolling out quickly.
The Hogmanay Update
I plan to drop some special New Year's Day content for those who have bought the game before the end of the year. It will include some holiday-themed shenanigans and a couple of extra questlines to keep you busy.
The March Update
The big March update will feature an extensive amount of new quests and characters to interact with. Now that the main game mechanics are mostly in place, I can focus on fleshing out the island, adding more things to do and explore, and hopefully many more laughs along the way. This will also mark the introduction of a couple of new planned features:

Pickup and power-ups

Mob drops

Weapon pickups and power-ups

Skill tree system and XP system

The Summer Update
The next big update after that will be the Summer Update, which will focus on adding more to the questlines, content, locations, and hopefully some of the planned features, including:

Armor, rings, and special item equipment system

Clothing and item swapping

Possibly a mount system
There will be more to come after that, but I’ll review things after each patch to see where the best direction for the game is, based on player feedback. I want you to be at the core of this game.
Looking Ahead
While the road after Early Access is long, I’m committed to seeing it through. There’s so much more to explore, and the possibilities for Bigfoot vs Scots are as vast as the Scottish Highlands themselves. My dream is to grow Haggis Goes Wild Studios from a solo developer into a small, dedicated team that can keep expanding this world while creating new, equally outrageous games in the future.
For now, I’ll continue to pour my heart and soul into Bigfoot vs Scots, knowing that the best is yet to come. Thank you for believing in this weird, wild adventure. Together, we’ll keep the madness going.
Slàinte,
and a big thanks from me
