The rogue-lite genre presents both distinct challenges and opportunities, and the team is hard at work implementing a narrative approach that leverages its strengths—and doubles-down on what makes Wizard of Legend unique. “We’ve gone all-in on the world of Lanova,” says game director Aryan Bina. “Fans of the original will recognize some old faces,” such as the shadowy purveyor of cursed relics, Nox, “and we’re introducing many more who we hope that they’ll love just as much.” Wizard of Legend 2 weaves a tale from an earlier era of Lanova, centered around a cast of characters who each have different reasons for being at Van Eyckrous mansion. The game was a certified hit, with a community of passionate players across multiple platforms—and Dead Mage is committed to honoring that for the sequel. “We’re all huge fans of the original Wizard of Legend,” says Bina. “For us, success means staying true to what made it great, and giving fans more of that. Feedback from the community is a huge help for us in achieving this.” To be part of that conversation and stay up to date on Wizard of Legend 2, wishlist the game here on Steam, and join us on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord.
