Been doing a lot of work this week, and it feels ready. Sure, don't have everything working that I wanted, don't have everything running as fast as I wanted. But. This is how it is. Good progress, good QOL, HUD, and ship behavior improvements. With hope, the first players to touch this - outside the many testers of course - will enjoy VA. Latest changes: - A general text pass across the entire game, with help from Aleks and Brendan. - Ship thruster and movement control has been overhauled to improve their quality of traversal, intelligence of thruster use, and maneuverability. - Ships will now try to avoid being surrounded, or otherwise outnumbered by hostiles. Aka they run away from lots of enemies. - The Constructor Config menu can now set the Attack Distance, and Aggression of ships. - Lasers had their prices increased sharply to keep their place as reliable PD, not mainline anti-ship weapons. - Hard shields had their regen dropped slightly, soft shields had their capacity increased slightly. This is just a feel thing. - Increased the block budget across the Campaign. Enemy fleets are a bit larger as well. - Setup all the game achievements, and associated images. - Added Help menus to most screens in the game. - The Workbench Help menu has a lot of information on game mechanics and ship behavior. Though, probably not enough. - A lot of scene work, fiddling, and stuff I've forgotten. - Drone guns recoil in the correct direction. Hah. - Anything else I did and forgot because I didn't write it down.
