Hello mighty giants!
This week, I would love to talk about something new in Reus 2: Personalities! We'll talk about why this has been added, what it will mean for your planet, and introduce you to a few!
Why are the humans here?
In the original Reus, humans were... kind of boring. Let's be honest. They settled in a location of your liking, sometimes went to war, but not much more. Their only expression was which project they started, and even that was limited and random.

Ok, and they did like celebrating in poop.
There was much room for improvement here, so we tried to make the most of it!
Personalities
In Reus 2 every nomad or city will carry a personality. This is not only a fancy portrait of their leader, but it also shows what kind of little sentient meat bags you have running around on your planet. For example, it matters little where they settle for their projects. Instead, a combination of their character and surroundings will determine the options.

These Scholars nomads want to see many different things!
Secondly, personalities that you help will paint the way forward. If you played the demo, you might've seen the Turning Points for a new Era. Well, those will be unlocked depending on the personalities you help. The favored will paint the future!

One of the Classic Turning Points: The Age of Monuments!
Another, very important new aspect of Reus 2, is that personalities have Ambitions. When you create a new planet, you will pick the personality you would like to help the most. They will set the goal for success of your newborn planet! Help them as good as you can, and their spirit might award you...
Examples
Let's take a look at some of the humans you will help in Reus 2!
The Goddess
Some humies think not you, but they are the center of the universe. Arrogant, but kind of cute. The Goddess loves shows of wealth and splendor. You're sure to help her with precious stones or expensive fur. And of course, she expects that her city will be the most glorious place on the planet. Just be sure to keep her hubris in check if it grows too wild...
The Inventor
The inventor is full of ideas! And above all, he likes to share those with the world. Create a world where ideas flow from city to city and you're sure to see curious projects and eras! He can be a bit eccentric though, and refuse to use some of the resources you give him.

Hello.
The Game Designer
Ah, me, the game designer. All he wants is to entertain you. A young father, he's sure not to cause you too much trouble in a quest to conquer the world or kill your gods. You can help by following the game, and suggesting what you'd like to see in our Discord or Steam forums! I'm sure he'll appreciate.
That's the Journal entry for today, we hope you're as excited about Reus 2 as we are!
