Hello! First - thank you to everyone who has bought the game and supported me in ensuring I could keep working on this as well as future projects! This was my first 'big' RPG - I've made many mistakes, both design and feature creep, but learned a lot, so thank you for all the feedback! Now for the update:
New Game+
Has arrived with a little extra - beyond being able to start a new game with all your AGNIS, Skills and Perks intact, you'll be able to get a new ability once you arrive at the Mass Abode building and sleep in your bed. This New Game+ option will show up in the Main Menu once you beat the game (you will have to either load up a save just before the ending or finish a new game)
"Choose Level"
Main Menu option is now available after beating the game. This is just as it says, choose any level that you feel like replaying. This one is just for revisiting and going through a level, some levels may not work properly since they require story information from prior levels that are not available when you play this way. Also, for anyone that has been here since the beginning, this was an option that broke the game for a day since I left this menu open and people couldn't click on anything and warranted some negative reviews and refunds... ːsteamsadː Anyway....
Travel restriction lifted
You can now travel using the UnderTram to locations that also have the UnderTram, e.g. Citizen Hub, B-Class Echelon and Arboretum. From the B-Class Echelon you can travel to the Citizen Hub, and from the Citizen Hub you can go back to the Mines, The Pit or the Boarding Hotel and of course, back to the B-Class Echelon through the UnderTram station.
Partial Controller Support
Menus now work properly with a controller! Lockpicking works with a controller and will show you the correct bindings! You will still need a keyboard to input your name and age when creating a character, as well as a mouse for the hacking minigame. I couldn't find a good way to make this work on a controller since it requires some speed to click on the correct numbers, and a controller is a not good way of doing this. For Steam Deck/ROG Ally users, I think this is a non-issue with the touchscreen? There were also some minor fixes here and there: - Fixed an issue with U-Fix Syringe not being thrown correctly - Mouse Sensitivity now goes down to 0.1 instead of 1 - Fixed sharp weapons knocking enemies out instead of killing them - FT (Fatigue) now goes down slightly faster - Fixed enemies sometimes not go aggro if the Player threw a sharp object at them - Fixed some issues with story progression if Jacquie was killed - Fixed an issue with Alger not going to the correct spot if he was aggro'd and then deaggro'd. - Fixed an issue with the objective in the Mines not activating properly Now, between fixing bugs, I'm now designing an extra mode for the game that'll be available in the Main Menu, alongside New Game+ and the new Choose Level option. I'm not sure when this will be out, but If you bought the game, I hope you will enjoy this extra piece of content whenever it's available, as this is for you as a thank you for the support. ːzombiethumbsupː
