August has come and gone, the wee tots are back in school. And so am I. This is where the busy-ness has truly settled in. But possibly the most important busy-ness I have ever found myself in. Working as a full-time residency teacher, finishing up my bachelor's degree, and starting my certification in special education: this is a huge step in my life that I am excited to take. There, now you know EXACTLY why Clash: Blue Mirage is back to weekend-only work. Well, except for the week I had COVID. I got devwork done all week there. But I refuse to talk about my quarantine week because I am still seething that it happened at all. So what all has gotten done? I'd say about 40% of Chapter 4! I've started implementing the "exploring a haunted house looking for clues" angle. For this, I'm harping on one of my very first games to create an explorable house and gatherable clues (to be more specific, keys; I genuinely couldn't think of anything else). I just need to finish this section up before moving back into the narrative. Said narrative will FINALLY loop back around to the very first scene of the game. Wow, what a long flashback! From there, the plan is to have the viewpoint shift to another character for a bit before segueing into Chapter 5. But before I start on Chapter 5, I'll need to make sure what I have flows well. All sorts of revising and editing. It's going to take awhile. Especially since my day job is, as mentioned before, insanely packed. But I am a stubborn woman who is bound and determined to finish this game. It's slow going, but slow going is better than no going. So stay tuned for more. OH also this demo did quite well in the Visual Novel Fest. So thanks to everyone who checked out the demo during that event. :)
