I plan to have an update on the first of each month summarizing what happened the month before. Just to prove that neither I nor the project are dead. This chapter is more slice-of-life and silly (give people a breather before the main mystery REALLY gets going), as well as setting up different characters and plot threads that will come together at the end. It involves coffee, secrets, and feeling replaced. It's been a lot of fun to write, even if I am (I will confess) struggling to find the time and the wherewithal to really get going on it. The time is a reasonable excuse (I have a day job that's got a lot of work, a college degree that's got a lot of work, extra stuff in the evening that have a lot of work, and a new dog that is a lot of work); the wherewithal is not, so I need to get myself together and get over it. The part we should really be focusing on though is that Chapter 2 is about halfway done. I'm still playing around with it; it's probably just going to be one screen with eight images to unlock, rather than several screens with only six images per screen. I will decide soon enough. But its cute, its simple, and I like it! It adds a nice little bit of flair to the project. I should probably redo the in-game achievements screen to match the style of the gallery screen, but then again I still really like seeing all the achievement names in a nice and organized list. Plus, Steam handles the images and pop-ups. So I think the in-game achievements will stay the same. We will see. That's about it for this big April recap/hype update/whatever we want to call it. Stay tuned for more!
