To arms commander, the enemy is at our walls! The studio has been hard at work and is proud to introduce the siege update. As you may be able to tell by the title we have added an entirely new wave survival game mode where you must defend your castle against waves of increasingly difficult enemies. If you can maintain control of your spawn points without being overrun you win! With this update there are two new castle maps to explore. There has also been a good amount of visual polish added from improved animations and movement, UI additions, and interface fixes. The major updates are summarized below:
[list]
[*] Siege mode has been added with 2 castle maps to defend and 5 different attacking armies to face off against.
[*] Light and heavy armor types have been added to your loadout options allowing for you to choose between deadly swarms and durable elites on the battlefield.
[*] Giant units have been sighted, these will be more fleshed out in the future.
[*] The damage model and attack values have been revamped. Armor now provides a percentage damage reduction on attacks coming from the front arc and cleaving AoE attacks distribute damage among all the units hit.
[*] The main menu UI has been revamped. There are still some visual updates to be made, but it's ready for functional testing.
[*] Commanders now have a visual “swoosh” when they attack providing more visual feedback during combat.
[*] Pikemen have gained the “Backstep” ability in their defensive slot allowing them to leap back to disengage and reform more easily.
[*] The sound system has been updated and more sounds are being added constantly.
[*] Initial groundwork for the campaign mode is being laid out, but nothing is ready to share or test yet.
[*] New loading screen and steam page splash art.

Make sure to wishlist the game if you haven't to keep up to date with new features and updates as they come out. The next update will focus on UI and other “quality of life” features so stay tuned for that and be sure to submit feedback if you are one of our playtesters.
