Hello Animaze Community!
Get your avatar’s hands ready because Animaze by Facerig now supports Ultraleap (FKA Leap Motion) hand tracking!!
[previewyoutube=fccPdXCLPqU;full][/previewyoutube]
Ultraleap hand tracking is included in the FREE subscription tier and works with 3D Animaze, VRM, and Ready Player Me avatars. Learn how to use it in our dedicated FAQ HERE .
Win a Leap Motion Controller by Ultraleap in our contest here. Or, purchase your Leap Motion Controller here: https://www.arrow.com/en/products/90-0005/ultraleap and get an exclusive 10% discount using the code ANIMAZE. Offer lasts until September 8, 2021. Learn more about Ultraleap technology on their website.
This update also includes improvements to our in-app character creator, Personas.
We've adjusted Personas skeletal and blend shapes to accommodate a larger variety of skeletal deformations. These updates mean smoother actions and more places to attach props. In addition to all the under-the-hood changes, we added more hair, nose, teeth, neck, and clothing customization options.
We also added generic Special Actions that automatically work with VRM and Ready Player Me avatars. Our first set of generic Special Actions is Hello, OK, Shrug, and No. Over time, we plan to extend the generic system to Special Poses and Idle Animations. In the long run, we hope the artist community contributes to the generic animation set so all 3D, VRM, and Ready Player Me avatars will reap the benefit.
Other bug fixes and tweaks:

Fixed initial audio input delay when starting the app. This fix should help with all audio-related features like audio-based lipsync, audio streaming, recording, and voice effects

Fixed issues that occur when more than one audio-based lipsync tracker is active at once

Fixed issues with the simple audio-based lipsync tracker that resulted in an open mouth even when no sound is input into the tracker

Default tracker is now automatically disabled when the iPhone Tracker activates

Fixed an issue with iPhone Tracker accidentally activating the Head Extreme Angle Attenuation feature resulting in sluggish or slow-motion feeling movement

Updated the default 30 FPS Mid Profile for the default tracker

Increased smoothing and noise gate on blinking and lip unveiling (applied only on Mid (30 fps camera) profile)

Tweaked the body and head movement velocity input suppression (rapidly moving your head will dramatically increase smoothings on all expression inputs)

Increased default soft link values for eyelids
Known issues:
While the Leap Motion Controller is active, the following technical limitations may occur:

Hand size and arm length customizations may revert back to the default model sizes

Similarly, while the controller is active, on certain models, you may not be able to change the hand size

All four-legged avatars (e.g., Doge, Machy the Cat, Noah the Lion Cub, etc.) don’t exhibit any hand (paws) movement

If you manage to position a furry avatar’s hand behind its head, a small transparent halo may appear around the avatar’s hands. Eliminating the halo would result in a massive hit to performance.

In extreme situations, all avatars may exhibit some mesh clippings. Mesh clipping is highly dependent on the avatar’s body structure (belly size, hands length, etc.). Reduce the visible clipping with the Advanced Configs controls in the UltraLeap tracking menu.
We are actively pursuing fixes and tweaks for the above-mentioned known issues. Stay tuned for updates.
