Welcome back to UPDATE DAY, Animaze Community! We’re back with an exciting update based on the feedback we have received from our community so we’re happy to present today’s new features: more VRM bones, personas clothing color, and pattern customizations, and much more! Here’s the complete breakdown of our new features:
VRM support gets some much needed fixes

Removed the 256 skinning bones limit on a single mesh
Added animation support for rigid non-skinned meshes. This affects models that have static props or geometry without skinning information.
Fixed the issues with premultiplied with glTF PBR base color factor, which resulted in darker than expected textures
Removed the light intensity clamp
Improved the consistency of the screen space outline width between rendering engines (e.g., Unity vs Animaze) All these improvements require reimport through the Animaze Editor!

Personas color and pattern belt
We’ve added color and pattern customizations to Personas tops and bottoms clothing options. It’s time to add your unique fashion lewk.
Universal notifications
When there’s something new going on, you’ll learn about it in-app. Animaze can now receive notifications. Check it out in the Profile > Notifications.
We also included the following bug fixes and tweaks:

fixed Live2D inverted param physics issue by updating the Live2D rendering tech to the latest version
[Animaze Editor] We added intervals for the Live2D retargeting overrides
[Animaze Editor] The Parameter Remapper only displays the Live2D parameters that are actually used by the tracking systems.
We solved the Virtual Camera black bars issue by fixing the Virtual Camera output size. The default value is 1280 x 720. However, you can change the output size in a drop-down menu found in Settings > Video Graphics > Virtual Camera Output Size. Please note, although we use a fixed camera size and a fitted aspect (i.e., we zoom and crop to keep the 16:9 aspect ratio), the render resolution still depends on the application window.
Fixed issue with infinite calibration visual animation when losing the camera feed
Tweaked the tutorial
Increased customizable rotation and position offsets for props
Added Korean translations
As always, we would love to hear your feedback on our latest features and the Animaze app!
