Hello again fellow survivors! You may have noticed that you can no longer opt into the Alpha 6 Beta test. This is because Alpha 6 has been released officially to all users. Alpha 5 has waved goodbye and Alpha 6 has taken it's place. I've seen some of you asking about the world being compatible with Alpha 5 saves or not. Alpha 5 saves are at best, semi compatible. In other words, you'll need to start a new world/game in order to experience the new areas of the map and new POI's.So in short, Alpha 5 maps/saves will likely give you some issues. Another question that has popped up is whether or not you can roll back to Alpha 5. Sadly this is not possible. If you'd however like to still use your buildings and creations in a new map, you can simply go to your saves folder where the game is installed. In most cases the default for Windows would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\7DaysToDie-Alpha5\Data\Worlds\Navezgane\Saves\SaveNameHere Or C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\7DaysToDie-Alpha5\Data\Worlds\Navezgane\Saves\SaveNameHere Inside the folder, you will see another folder called "Region" You simply need to copy all the files inside there into the new world/save's region folder to insert your buildings and creations into the new map. Please do be aware though, that in some cases the surrounding area where your buildings and creations are, may be stuck in some POI's that were not there in Alpha 5 for example. So theres a chance you might have to do a bit of changes/fixing up after copying the files to the new world/save. But other than that, all should be fine. And if you'd like your inventory and location saved, simply copy the player folder as well to the new save. I hope this clears some things up. As for some of you who have missed the changelog for Alpha 6, you can find all changes in the news posts here https://7daystodie.com/news/ Take care and stay alive! The Fun Pimps
