The idea of WinSizeNG is to provide a fast way to re-size and re-position a user application window on the Desktop.
It can be used together with PowerToys Workspaces to quickly create new user workspaces.
WinSizeNG does not attempt to replicate the functionality of PowerToys FancyZones.
WinSizeNG can quicky capture a window size and position and apply it to other window(s).
There are many applications that remembers its location on the Desktop screen when the user closes it.
The user can set an application to open with a desired size, at a desired location.
If the user wants to replicate a previously saved size and position to other applications, it can do it with a simple mouse click.
Those are the main features of WinSizeNG:
WinSizeNG allows users to re-size and re-position any application window on the Desktop.
It can capture a window's size and position and creates a profile of its dimensions.
Many profiles can be created for various resolutions, scale, sizes and positions.
All non-minimized windows will appear in a list where they can be selected.
The user can select any number of windows, choose a profile and click to re-size and re-position the window(s).
Profiles - Create many profiles with different resolutions, scale and dimensions (CTRL+P)
Windows List - Display a selectable list of all non-minimized Windows (CTRL+L)
About - Display information about WinSizeNG application and version number (CTRL+H)
Refresh - Update the list of Windows being displayed (CTRL+R)
Keep Refreshing - Automatically update the list of Windows being display every 4 seconds (CTRL+K)
Show Info Tip - Show the ProcessID, Window Handle, Name and Class for the item in the list (CTRL+I)
Search - Find and select a Window by partial or full name. It supports incremental search
Always On Top - Let the WinSizeNG application window to remain visible above all other windows, even when it is not the active window (CTRL+T).
Capture - Select a Window on the list to capture its size and position (CTRL+S)
Free Capture - Drag the mouse to the desired Window to capture its size and position (CTRL+U)
Align - Align the selected Window(s) to the Center, Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right of the Desktop (CTRL+W)
Apply - Apply the chosen profile to the selected Window(s) to change its size and position (CTRL+Y)
