Wild Realms - Detailed Information

THE GAME:
Throughout history, we have always been astounded and amazed by the wonders of the natural world. In Wild Realms, you can play as one of many species of animal across various distinct Realms (Realms can be eras of earth's history, other planets, and alternate timelines) with a selection of maps to play on. Welcome, to Wild Realms!

THE LORE:
Far into the future, a rift in space and time itself has opened into a cosmic wormhole. Scientists repeatedly try and fail to explore the rift, losing countless operatives in the process... until now. What scientists found on the other side was astonishing: ecosystems and worlds brimming with life, completely untouched by humankind. You will take the role of a wild animal within these realms, and attempt to survive.

CURRENT GAMEPLAY FEATURES:
Nearly 40 different species to play as across all maps.
Distinct and vibrant Realms, each with a selection of maps to play on.
Survival Mechanics such as Hunger, Thirst, Health, Stamina, and Oxygen.
Status Effects to aid in hunting such as Venom and Blood-loss.
Simple combat mechanics.
A "game master" mode where the server's host can give players waypoints, spawn NPC animals, and observe the world freely.
Realistic ecosystems with NPC animals and logic to help prevent upsets in the food-chain (NPC animals can be disabled by the host).
Multiplayer maps with simplified gameplay.
Multiplayer PvP and Co-op via Steam's invitation system for up to 10 players.
In-game score system used for respawning (can be toggled on and off by the host).
Stylized graphics (with minimal blood).
A variety of species use special movement mechanics such as flying, swimming, and diving underwater.
In-game tips to offer new players hints on how to play the game (press "ESC" while using an animal to access).

THE DREAM:
Wild Realms is designed with fun gameplay as its top priority. The long-term goal of Wild Realms is simple, to be the ultimate game for animal enthusiasts of all ages.

PLAYERS AND FUN-FACTOR FIRST:
I will try my best to keep the wishes of the Community as the primary goal of the game, be it balance changes, content releases, and gameplay mechanics. As a gamer myself I have seen far too many games that don't listen to their player base, often to the detriment of their own project... and I'm aiming to remedy this problem by adding and changing content within logical reason in accordance to my own interests and the interests of the community.

PAST, PRESENT, AND FICTION:
Wild Realms will receive updates over time to add new realms, be it set in prehistory, modern times, seed worlds, alien planets, or even alternate timelines!
