Wealdfall Squirrel - Detailed Information

In this game you will face a set of enemies - inhabitants of the Wealdfall - on your journey to gather nutrients for your squirrel avatar. As a standardized squirrel you can not fight other animals - you have to use your supreme running and jumping skills to avoid them. Those however shall not be all the adversities you will have to overcome. Lands of the Wealdfall do not allow for a simple stroll. Your chances of survival shall also be thwarted by environmental hazards such as water reservoirs (since, as we all know, characters in platformer games usually can not swim) or low flying rocks (no comment, you'll have to see it). Show prowess in your squirrel ways and you may yet succeed.

                                                                  

After extensive testing the results showed that the squirrel used in game is a far-sighted species. Due to lack of availability of corrective glasses in squirrel sizes things closer to the squirrel may appear of lower quality than everything located further away (in other words: Game has original graphics. It's a mix of pixel art and higher resolution graphics - levels and characters in game are created in pixel art while backgrounds use higher resolution art).

                                                                  

Wealdfall Squirrel is based on old 2D platformer games. It has simple controls and linear playthrough. It allows players to set their own difficulty based on what they want (within what options sliders actually allow for of course). If you want every point to translate to extra life - set correct slider in the options and voila, no need to worry about your little squirrel mob to run out of recruits. Don't want to bother with gathering points necessary to finish a level? - a quick change and your squirrels will go hungry for all the work they'll do. Tired of listening to the game sounds? - one swift motion and all the squeaks go away.
For clarity - difficulty options that player can change are: amount of lives at start; points needed to gain extra life; amount of points needed to be able to finish level; amount of checkpoints in a level.
