About this game   Hardware Requirements
Way of Rhea is a puzzle game with hard puzzles, but forgiving mechanics. Solve mind bending color puzzles, unlock new areas of a vibrant hub world, chat with townsfolk, and undo any mistake with the press of a button.

Solve Puzzles

Solve challenging puzzles that build off each other—each puzzle is there for a reason.

Explore The World

Unlock new areas of the hub world and gain access to new puzzle mechanics! You'll learn to use the color changers, teleporters, circuits and more.

Chat With Locals

Some locals want to help you solve the puzzles! Some would rather you stopped.

Undo Your Mistakes, Control Time

Undo any mistake with the press of a button. Way of Rhea's focus is on the puzzles--there's no jump, there are no platforming or combat challenges, and any mistakes you make can easily be undone.

You can also pause time if you need time to think, or speed up time if you don't want to wait around for an action to complete.

Beat The Difficult End Game

Way of Rhea starts out fairly easy, but the difficulty builds over time--the puzzle mechanics from the normally isolated biomes work together to make very difficult end game puzzles!

Play On Steam Deck!

Valve hasn't reviewed Way of Rhea for the verified program yet, but it runs great on the Steam Deck--I test every build on it!

Aspect Ratios

The game is currently letter-boxed on non 16:9 aspect ratio monitors. It's tricky to get this right for a 2D game--if we just allow arbitrary aspect ratios, then the camera will point outside the level bounds, or reveal secrets or puzzle elements you're not supposed to see yet.

I'm not super happy about that. If the game does well enough I may be able to create a patch down the line where I do a pass over each puzzle and make custom camera frames for a few more common aspect ratios, but I can't make any promises right now!
