Surprise! As part of the Press Preview event for Steam Next Fest, we’re live early with the new Supermoves Next Fest Demo! On June 10th when Steam Next Fest June 2024 begins you can expect a new patch with even more improvements. Enjoy this early release, runners!
Highlights

Singleplayer Career Mode Demo
You can now try out our singleplayer Career Mode! We’ve featured the tutorial, the Florida Goal level “On the Ropes” and 6 exciting races:

The Stacks, a Sprint level set inside Plywood Park
Highrise Paradise, a Circuit level set on the Rooftops
Backwoods, a Circuit level set in the Flatlands
Big Wave, a Circuit level set on the Ocean
School’s Out, a Rising Tide level set inside the School Gym
Triumph, a Loot level set inside the Supermoves Stadium
The final game will have a lot more to try out, but this is just a taste of what the singleplayer Career Mode will have to offer. Rumor has it that there’s some secrets strewn about as well for the more curious parkour pro!
Random Featured Playlists
After rigorous testing in the Supermoves Playtest, we decided to go with fully random featured playlists. There’s a fun little algorithm that decides what gamemodes get played, but we prioritize racing gamemodes like Sprint, Circuit and Rising Tide with a surprise or two Bomb Tag, Obstacle Course and Loot in it. All in all, this should give you a fresh experience every time you boot up Supermoves and as we add more featured levels. We’ve also re-added the Royale playlist. We’ll look into how popular the gamemodes are using our analytics and bring back specific playlists if we see demand for them!
Party Up with Friends
We’ve added the Party system, which allows you to join up with your friends directly from your Steam friends list. Just join your friend and you’ll be whisked away wherever the host wants you to go.
Additional Host Features
The host of a lobby can now kick players and disable editor access for individual players by going to the Pause Menu and choosing players from the scoreboard. You can also kick out party members.
New Play, Make and Pause Menus
We’ve overhauled the Play Menu, Make Menu and added a handy new Pause Menu, which will show leaderboard scores when you’re playing! Additionally, the main menu track now correctly plays in the menu (it used to play only in the first screen).
Vastly Improved Controller Support
Supermoves should now be able to be played from start to finish with just your controller. You can toggle controller icon types and we’ve added a handy virtual keyboard for text input (only in Steam Big Picture mode or the Steam Deck). Neat!
Improved Featured Levels
Many levels now have additional checkpoints to make sure you don’t miss them, some visual overhauls and we’ve made a few sections in a few maps (the last section in The Stacks, anyone?) a bit easier to handle. We’ve patched up some popular skips on the maps to ensure a level playing field, but I’m sure you’ll find more ways to get ahead.
Movement improvements and Leaderboard Reset
We’ve reset the leaderboards from this build on, since we’ve overhauled the movement a bit. New features include better conservation of momentum when running on flat ground and several improvements to rolling and sliding. We’ve also squashed a lot of bugs.
Quality of Life updates and Bug Fixes
There’s a lot of these so we’re not going to list them all, but a lot of the UI weirdness is now gone and replaced with a smooth flow to everything. Expect more fixes and improvements as we move towards our inevitable launch!
Coming Soon: The Next Fest update on June 10th
We’re going to add a patch to the Steam Next Fest demo on June 10th to add a host of new exciting features.
Coming Soon: All New Trailer!
Technically not in the game, but we’re hyped up about it and you should be too!
Coming Soon: The Next Fest Season
Get 10 all new cosmetics from just playing the game and completing daily & weekly challenges! We’ll sunset the tech test season once we go live with this, so be sure to get all the cosmetics before they vanish! The Next Fest Season will be a limited time event where you can get unique cosmetics for your character.
Coming Soon: Edit and Remix Levels from the Level Card
You’ll be able to remix any level and save it as your own copy.
Coming Soon: Open Lobby for Single Levels
Want to play just a single race but have the lobby available for people to join? Now you can open up a lobby to a single level.
