The 5/18 update to the Sumo Tanks demo includes various bug fixes, a few features from the playtest, and, most importantly, the ability to host the full game for other demo players.
How can I host the full version of Sumo Tanks for other demo players?
When you purchase the full game, the full game's content is also added to your demo, allowing you to share it with other players online. So, once you own the full game, all you need to do is launch the demo and invite players like you normally would. That's it.
If you need to reinstall the demo, please see this steam discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2475720/discussions/0/4339859086866088649/.
While progress is synced between "Sumo Tanks" and "Sumo Tanks Demo," they are separate games on Steam and CANNOT play together. Please keep this in mind. If you are playing with friends who only have the demo, launch "Sumo Tanks Demo." If all your friends own the full game, launch "Sumo Tanks."
Until the playtest ends on 5/20, players who have been invited to the playtest can also host the full game for demo players.
What content is shared?
Players can only see the content they have unlocked, but you can select your unlocked tanks, arenas, and modes, even for other players. All tanks, arenas, and modes can be shared this way. The only exception are the levels in Campaign Mode, which are tied to the host. If the host does not own the full game, then you will only play the 30 demo levels. If the host owns the full game, then the full 100 levels will be shared.
If you want to know what sort of content you can unlock in the full game, check out the Release Date announcement where we go over it: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2475720/view/4179980031200718738
