Over 20 new island locations have been added in the northern region of the world, including new purchasable player bases, mission locations, a second "mega" island, and a hundred kilometres of procedural trainlines. Characters can now freeze in the cold, so make sure you bring your thermal clothing and keep the heating on. The weather can quickly turn from gentle snowfall to treacherous icy blizzards. This is a new mission type that will require you to locate and respond to crashed planes, derailed trains and stranded civilians before the deathly cold consumes them.
