Update #6

Hello folks, we have another update for you!
Some time has passed since the last update and we have been busy implementing a lot of the things you mentioned and requested.
First and foremost: The game now feels much faster! Updates in the respective buildings have been compressed, the command system now allows to communicate more directly with the units, and much more.
Here's an overview of the most important changes made during the last few weeks:
Save & Load
One of the most complex changes is probably the Save&Load system. Yes, it's finally possible to save! The game will autosave every time the player replenishes supplies or when the level is finished.
There are a total of 4 save slots available.
Commands
Based on your feedback, we have redesigned the Command menu. It is now possible to communicate more directly with the units and, for example, only let archers or melee fighters attack.
But if you don't need this kind of precision, you can still command your units together.
Champions
Champions are special units that can aid you in the way you play. Like all of your units, they respond to orders.
There are currently four champions: the Shaman (heals your units), the Berserker (strong against infantry), the Shieldmaiden (strong and enduring against infantry), and the Blacksmith (strong against gates and barricades).
For example, if you're playing resource-friendly, the shaman would be a good choice. It would heal your units and would prevent you from taking big casualties.
It's up to you which strategy and which champion you want to choose. Be aware that champions can only be hired at a captured outpost. It is not possible to hire more than one champion per outpost.
Mini bosses
After some successful testing, we have added the first two mini-bosses to the first level.
They defend their outposts with more devotion than their minions 😉
We will gradually adjust the strength over time.
Outpost
A conquered outpost now has a harbor right from the start to cut long and unnecessary walks. If you've earned some money it's also possible to build a stockpile.
Mead hall
Now you have the opportunity upgrade Thoralds health and stamina.
These upgrades are for all levels.
AI changes
A huge issue that slowed down the game was the intelligence of the units. These will now run automatically to the recent conquered point. In addition, archers can be released more easily from the towers with the help of the "follow" command. Archers will automatically seek an elevated position (tower) if one is available nearby.
Demo
We also made a lot of other small adjustments and are now ready to replace the current demo.
We will transfer the current status to the demo by the end of June at the latest.
Beta tester
There are also some good news for all Kickstarter followers "Tier Backer": At the beginning of the next month we will integrate the next level and we'll also invite all beta testers!
That's all for now. Thank you for your attention!
Best
