Rumble Club Season 2 is Live!

[b]Welcome to Season 2![/b]
The time has come, Punchies of the Realm! Season 2 of Rumble Club is now live, and you can jump in with our new game mod and fantasy themed map, gadgets, and cosmetics now.
We shared initial details on what’s new here [url=https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2639810/view/4170975369405996096?l=english]earlier in the month[/url], but read on for every new detail, plus patch notes in v1.2.

[b]New Season 2 Content[/b]
Space gadgets from the Launch season have been swapped out with five new tools:

[*] Sword and Board - Tap to swing your sword knocking enemies up and then backwards, applying strikes! Hold down to block attacks.
[*] Crossbow - Fire a plunger from this crossbow for a single shot, or Charge up to fire a spread shot of 5 plungers!
[*] Faerie Wings - Fly through the air and sprinkle Faerie Dust before you come down with a crash, knocking enemies away and applying strikes. Pick up Faerie Dust to get a speed boost!
[*] Horsie - Ride into battle with your lance on the Horsie. Hit enemies with the end of your lance to apply 3 strikes!
[*] Ogre King - Go Ham with the Ogre King. Smash your opponents with a big ground slam in a long, narrow cone, sending them flying and applying up to 3 strikes!

By popular demand, Tournaments have been added to Rumble Club!

[*] Play in rotating Tournaments this season, earn big rewards for your wins, and make progress on the seasonal Tournament Track.
[*] Tournaments can have a variety of themes, game modes, maps, and round counts.
[*] Placing well in Tournaments gives you rewards, including progress on the Tournament Track
[*] Complete the Track this season to unlock the Jester Hat and to get Frosty, the Baby Dragon!

Introducing Rumble Run - Play multiple game mode rounds in a row, gain points for your placement, and win!

[*] Qualifying Rounds - Play multiple rounds of different game modes, earn points based on your placement at the end of the match. The lowest cumulative scores get cut between rounds.
[*] Final Round - Once the final round has been reached, it’s a winner-take-all scenario. Win the last match, and you win the whole Rumble Run!

New Player Rewards:

[*] Get rewards, including cosmetics, for playing for your first seven days! Existing players, don’t worry, you’ll get to collect these rewards too.

New maps! We are introducing 5 new maps, all of which support all 6 game modes.

[*] Punchington Castle
[*] Desserted Island
[*] Old Punchie Town
[*] Dungeon Depths
[*] Walk the Planks

All of these maps are available in private lobbies. Punchington Castle is a full size map which also appears in public matches. The other four maps are smaller maps which appear in our new tournament system.
[b]Patch Notes[/b]
Balance:
[list]
[*] Updated throwable balls to throw a bit less downward causing them to not bounce so high into the air on a throw. Hopefully this makes using these items a bit more reliable.
[*] Slightly increased the size and power of the basic rolling hamster ball knockback. In particular we hope this helps with Gadget Game stall out when players have the Hamster Ball.
[*] Decreased Turn speed with deployed umbrella by 10% to make pinning someone with it a bit more difficult.
[*] Now that we can tune the magnet post throw cooldown time we are adjusting it to find the best balance for this gadget. We have Increased the post throw cooldown on magnet by 10%.
[*] The balance of punching a knocked out enemy vs picking up and throwing is constantly on a knife's edge. This is an area that we are constantly working on so expect changes here to be small so we can dial in this behavior. Right now it feels like the value of throwing has fewer intended situations than we hoped so we are increasing the remaining knockout time on throws by 0.05 seconds to try and increase the value of picking up and throwing.
[*] To give the Magic Donut some love we have increased the # of strikes it applies from 1 to 2. Go get your sweet tooth on.

Bug fixes:

[*] Fixed a tile that didn’t drop on Spaced Out by preventing players from standing on the edge of it.
[*] Fixed Trophy Track and Crown Track progress bars disappearing when maxed out.
[*] You may have noticed some stray 1-strike crates filled with mysterious goodies accidentally scattered on some of our maps. They have been removed…for now.
