This newest update adds the Gunslinger and two new Circles of Hell.
Gunslinger
The Gunslinger is the first new playable character added to Risk & Riches. She uses quick attacks that can be stacked up to cause serious damage, or she can use heavy-hitting cards that require preplanning to ensure you have the energy for them.
To unlock the Gunslinger you must build the Sheriff's Office, and to get her special equipment, you may build the Gunsmith.

When Risk & Riches was first envisioned, the plan was to utilize the nine circles of hell from Dante's Inferno as themes for the different levels. However, as the game further evolved it didn't seem practical to have nine levels in a single run, so instead they were turned into nine difficulty levels that must be overcome in order to defeat the final boss.
This update adds the two more "Circles of Hell." Although the themes are looser than the original design, the added difficulty for each circle is based on the corresponding circle in Dante's Inferno.

[*] Limbo - This is just the base difficulty of the game. The amount of enemies is reduced and everything is set to its base stats. It is meant to take a while to get out of, but this is where most players will learn the majority of the mechanics of the game.
[*] Lust - The enemies remain at their base stats, but players will face more enemies during their run. Your meddling has attracted their attention.
[*] Gluttony - Enemies receive a slight health bump.

Those are the first three circles. The fourth circle and beyond are not yet in the game. I won't spoil all of the circles, but I do want to tease that the fourth circle introduces a lot of new enemies. There are currently 13 enemies and 6 bosses in Risk & Riches. The full game (once you pass the fourth circle), will include 25 enemies, 14 bosses, and the final boss.
Final Note
This build is more or less what the final Demo of the game will be. The one planned to go live in January/February and be used for February's Steam Next Fest. Please, use the Feedback/Bug Report form to provide any information on any suggestions or issues that you encounter.
Thank you!
