Pogo Rogue Major Update!

Hey everyone! We have been hard at work over the past few months on our big new update and we are finally ready to release it on Wednesday, October 9th! This update has a ton of new content that we are really excited to share, such as:

25+ new items

Upgradable weapons

Synergy active items

6 brand new playable unlockable characters

NPCs

New enemies

Improved soundtrack and sound effects

New tutorial

Lots of bug fixes and polish

Art improvements

And more!
We think that you guys will really enjoy these new features and hope that it more than makes up for the lack of recent updates! With that in mind, there are still a couple more things that we’d like to finish before we feel like we can justify removing the “Early Access” title from our page.
As a result, our official full release date is now currently planned for November 20th!
However, instead of waiting until then to release our next update, we are planning to roll out the remaining content over several updates in the following weeks, with our final update on November 20th. Since Pogo Rogue was originally made for a university course, our current team has significantly slimmed down and we have since gone our separate ways, working completely remote after our initial launch. Because of this, and because we are keeping our promise of always keeping Pogo Rogue 100% free, we unfortunately cannot guarantee any more updates after the 20th release :( But by then, we hope to be in a state where we feel like no other content needs to be added!
So, what other content is in store for you these next few weeks, you ask?
The two things that we can absolutely, definitively promise are Steam Achievements and 2 new bosses. Our #1 priority will be the Steam achievements, so we hope to get an update out ASAP with them included! We will likely add some more stuff as well, but we’ll keep it a secret for now.
Once again, we are grateful for the support we have received and can’t wait to show you the new stuff we’ve made. If you run into any bugs/issues, please let us know! We have ironed out all of the issues we know about, but our reduced playtesting manpower means we may have missed a few!
See you October 9th!
