[b]Thank you all for your feedback to our previous demo. We went back and improved pretty much every aspect of our game.[/b] Here are a few notable updates in this new demo - and of course for the full game. [b]Introductions and Tutorial[/b] By far the most feedback we got was about explaining the game in the first place. We are a simulation game so it gets a bit complex so we had a lot of room to improve in the tutorial department. We've - revised the text/objective based initial tutorial - Added highlights to certain UI elements when the tutorial mentions them - Expanded the tutorial to several new optional chapters. They can be played again whenever needed, from the top right corner. - Added another form of smaller hints. Some buildings have a small "i" that can be clicked for a quick explanation. - Added guiding lines whenever interacting with token objects. Tokens now shoot out a line to guide you into areas where they can be used. [b]Gameplay[/b] Although we are still not showing everything, we've revealed a bit more: - Interior sets now require a sound stage to house them - Rebalanced a whole bunch of values for better gameplay - Improved character pathfinding - Added 2 new buildings - Improved a whole lot of in-world and on-screen UI [b]Performance[/b] - We've improved CPU performance overall, so the game runs better overall for everyone. (a bit too well for really beafy setups. Don't forget to limit fps in the settings. I've seen 400+ fps on a 13900k) - We've reduced the main source of lag spikes. There is still some work to be done on this front but overall the game is now smoother. - Reduced memory usage Movies - While we are still not satisfied with the movies made in game so far, we've implemented a whole new system that drives them. - We will reveal more about the new movie system very soon. The main purpose of it is to make custom movie making easier for all players Bugs We've fixed a looot of bugs.
