In this dev log of Monsters Domain, we are focusing on the game systems which are related to spirit character and the inventory system. The player has the ability to turn into a spirit and possess beings. Here, we have added a new character model for the spirit and used a transparent shader to express the ghostly feeling. When a player is in spirit mode, enemies will not see him or attack. But there is a catch, this spirit character cannot stay longer without possessing someone, a small meter indicates the time left to possess, and if that didn't happen spirit will vanish into the air and its game over.
At this point we have added the main economic system of the game and its called “soul shards” these shards are used in various scenarios and can be obtained by killing enemies and destroying soul crystals.
After that we add minions (followers) which can be possessed by the character and gave them the ability to follow us during our quest to defeat the light followers. Here, we have also implemented the main actions for the spirit character which are,

Possess/Unpossess
Sacrifice - This will disintegrate the dead body and restore the minions as well as players health and mana.
Reanimate - This will reanimate the dead character as it was before (with skin, level and armor) but this will cost more soul shards based on the rank of the dead enemy.
Resurrect - This will resurrect the dead character but in skeletal form, this skeleton will not have any armor and the rank will be set to basic rank but it will consume fewer soul shards.
The inventory system also expanded upon the demo version to support a multiple-character inventory system and changed the functions to be more scalable and flexible. Now there are three new slots for weapons which are melee, ranged and magic and players can switch them on the fly.
As for the AI part we have implemented the command system where player can issue various commands to companions, for example, player can command companions to gather resources for the construction of a building or follow the player, etc.
As 2nd Boss AI implementation, we decided to add an undead mummy that is able to do melee attacks combined with magic powers. This boss only attack near the target so it movement is fast. While target attacks from range AI is able to use fast warp movement that is able to close the distance to the target quickly.
