Hello everyone,
We are here to share some details about the adjustments of enhancement system and online-co mode with you through this dev log.
First and foremost, we'd like to inform everyone that our game, 'Meta-ghost: Prologue,' officially launched on 2/29. Compared to the demo version, it includes all the out-of-game development and online-co mode gameplay. Additionally, a brand-new Driver named “Mirage Media” and many new relics have been added. Furthermore, the progress made during this prologue will carry over to the official version. So, feel free to immerse yourself in the experience!

As a game that combines Rouge-lite and looter, 'Meta-ghost: The breaking show' not only focuses on in-game builds but also emphasizes player growth outside the races. Therefore, we provide a rich out-of-game enhancement system, allowing everyone to have a smoother experience and a more splendid performance in the 'Breaking Show.'
Operating System
The operating system is a shared enhancement similar to a skill tree for all participants. The enhancements include not only numerical growth such as increased attack power, maximum health, critical hit rate, but also special functions like extra revives, additional shop refreshes, etc.
The operating system consumes 'Computing Power' items for upgrades, and Computing Power is distributed based on the comprehensive performance of participants in any race settlement, combined with the current race's performance. (Even if a participant unexpectedly withdraws, they can still obtain a small amount of Computing Power.) The operating system is divided into multiple unlock stages, and new stages are unlocked as participants complete a certain number of upgrades."
Weapon customization
Although each controllable character currently seems to have only one type of weapon, the official weapon customization system allows for the customization of different parts of the weapon (corresponding to different skills of the character). This modification changes the participant's basic combat style and various skills, leading to the evolution of different gameplay.
The system uses "Augmentation Chips," which are data chips containing weapon customization protocols stored internally. These chips are rarer compared to Computing Power and are usually awarded as prizes for defeating various formidable enemies within the races.
Each weapon (i.e., each character) has four modification slots corresponding to normal attack, heavy attack, defense/evade, and ultimate skill. Each slot has three layers of modifications, and from each layer, one option can be activated. When any modification in a particular slot and layer is activated, the remaining modifications for that slot and layer (the other two options) will be unlocked simultaneously. Moreover, these modifications can be freely switched outside of the races.

For example, the participant "Toxin" Taisuke can use the weapon customization "One Mind" to transform the heavy attack into the "Spinning slash," which resembles throwing shurikens, rather than performing a three-stage heavy attack. Another weapon customization, "Immovable," can directly change the heavy attack into a small "Invincible Slash" similar to a special move. When combined with other modifications that increase attack speed or quickly obtain the Samsara Seal, a skill cycle centered around a powerful heavy attack can be created.
Participants should also be aware that for modifications of different levels within the same slot, the unlocking of the next level can only occur after completing the unlocking of the preceding level. Moreover, modifications at different levels in different slots do not affect each other. In addition, all weapon customizations can be rolled back, and 100% of the consumed Augmentation Chips can be refunded. (Of course, participants cannot roll back lower-level modifications while retaining higher-level ones.) Therefore, even in the early stages of the game when Augmentation Chips are scarce, everyone can confidently try unlocking different weapon customization combinations and gradually explore the character styles and strategies that suit them best.
Prosthetic weaponing
Prosthetic weaponing is similar to equipment systems in other games. Here, participants can equip Prosthetic weaponing obtained to significantly enhance their character's attributes and gain unique effects. By successfully challenging specific difficulties in the Breaking Show (single-player mode) and all difficulties in team matches (online-co mode), and successfully defeating the boss in the levels, participants can obtain randomly dropped Prosthetic weaponing. Prosthetic weaponing is categorized by quality colors from low to high: green, blue, purple, and orange (only the first three qualities are included in the prologue version). Higher-quality Prosthetic weaponing usually have more special effects, such as:
(1)Starting from blue quality, each prosthetic weaponing will have a randomly assigned special effect; choosing the right effect can often greatly enhance your racing experience.

(2)Starting from purple quality, Prosthetic weaponing will have set effects, divided into Enhancing Implant Effects (4-piece set) and Core Implant Effects (2-piece set); set effects can help participants build their builds faster in-game. For example, some set effects have the convenient function of "gaining a designated driver type at the start of the race."
(3)Orange quality Prosthetic weaponing (which will not appear in this prologue) are usually exclusive sets tailored for participants by race organizers and sponsors. The effects of these sets often provide extremely powerful enhancements to specified participants. For example, the set effect "All Cuts," tailor-made for Taisuke, can grant him a super powerful effect: "During the ultimate skill enhancement period, each use of the heavy attack extends the duration of the ultimate skill enhancement."

All Prosthetic weaponing can be enhanced, disassembled, and reset.
Prosthetic weaponing enhancement involves using materials to increase the armament's level, strengthen its main attributes, and randomly unlock a new secondary attribute after reaching certain enhancement levels. In addition to the previously mentioned Computing Power, the resources required for enhancing Prosthetic weaponing include "Ultra-Light Alloy," an item obtained as a reward from level settlements after completing high-difficulty races.
Prosthetic weaponing disassembly is another way to obtain "Ultra-Light Alloy." When participants acquire unwanted armaments, such as those with lower quality or inappropriate main attributes, they can disassemble them from their inventory to obtain enhancement materials for other armaments, making it a renewable resource.
Prosthetic weaponing resetting is a new feature introduced in the prologue version. It allows participants to consume Computing Power and Augmentation Chip items to randomly replace all effects and secondary attributes of a particular armament (without changing the number of secondary attributes). For players relentlessly pursuing the perfect armament, this is a quite challenging feature.
Suits
Starting from the prologue, we have implemented the long-awaited suit system for players, finally meeting everyone's preferences for different styles of participant outfits. As long as you participate in the Breaking Show (single-player mode) and pass the challenges of each stage for the first time, you can obtain a significant amount of "Universal Coins" as an official event reward. With a certain amount of Universal Coins, you can unlock suits. Hurry up and make your participant the most stylish one in this Breaking Show!
Team Matches
Next, let me introduce the major overhaul in the online online-co mode of this prologue, namely "Team Matches." Team Matches are special levels organized by the event organizers, supporting up to 3 participants in a team. You can form a team through online matchmaking, inviting friends, or entering private rooms.
Firstly, the most significant update in Team Matches this time is that the battle scenes are no longer confined to the arena! Instead, different maps and bosses will be randomly generated based on the current round progress. When you're playing together, you no longer have to worry about aesthetic fatigue with the constant variation in scenery!
Secondly, we have also updated the way rewards are obtained in Team Matches. Participants can choose one of three challenge rewards at the start of each round, including drivers, relics, likes, and more. Additionally, the shop (top left) and the driver aggregation machine (top right) have been retained. At any time outside of battles, participants can buy drivers or Fusion drivers here, providing a one-stop build-building service. Finally, you can fight to your heart's content until you are defeated and clear the game.

In the prologue version, Team Matches have two difficulty levels. If the accumulated "Heat" is ≥6 when completing difficulty 1, you can unlock difficulty 2. Every time you complete the 3rd, 7th, and 10th rounds of Team Matches, three special Heat Gates will appear. By choosing and entering the corresponding Heat Gate, you can increase the corresponding heat value. Of course, heat values not only unlock the next difficulty but also have various impacts, including increasing the loot from defeating bosses, enhancing enemy strength, and introducing various "event disturbances" to raise the difficulty. The greater the risk, the greater the reward!

Currently, the Team Matches gameplay has undergone significant optimizations and changes. However, the event organizers are not satisfied with just this. The iterative process for the online online-co mode continues, and we hope everyone can experience the Team Matches gameplay in this prologue version and provide feedback. We look forward to shaping it into its best form before the official launch.
Ranking
Lastly, we introduce the newly added ranking system. As a globally popular reality show competition, how could it lack a ranking system showcasing the absolute strength of the participants? If you've played the previous Demo version or participated in earlier Playtest tests, you'll likely remember the ratings and rankings obtained during the event settlement screen. Yes, with the official launch of the ranking system, your challenge difficulty, completion time, and the build styles used in the event will now be accurately recorded and viewable in the ranking system. Whether you are playing solo or bringing friends to challenge, you can participate in the ranking, competing with participants from around the world. Let's see who is the most dazzling rising star in this Breaking Show!
