[Updated March 8 at 5:00 PM PT] As mentioned in this post, we are asking our Maplers to fill out this brief survey about your experience with the performance of specific NA Reboot world channels after March 3 maintenance. Please fill out this survey by Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 PM PT. Thank you! ----- Greetings Maplers, Here’s a little update on what we observed after the February 17 NA Reboot world maintenance. February 17 Maintenance After reviewing the survey results and internal logs, we saw channel 1 have the most improvement. Channels 26 - 29 had some improvement, but we did see survey comments that said players still experienced lag during Ursus and around reset in those channels. From what we’ve seen, channel 30 wasn’t improved since we were testing how the image of a slow channel would perform on the new hardware spec. Last year, we did try to use dedicated hosts from our service provider to mitigate some lag but these dedicated hosts were slower than the changes we made this year, so we will be switching out the channels on these dedicated hosts. March 3 Maintenance During the March 3 maintenance, we updated the remaining channels to the new hardware spec. Channels 2, 5, 8, 20, 22, 23, and 24 have been updated to the new hardware spec. We left channels 21 and 30 as-is to do some tests on these channels. Channels 4, 26, 27, 28, and 29 are switched off of the dedicated hosts. Channels 26, 27, and 28 now have increased CPU and memory to see if that’ll help the channel performance during Ursus Golden Time. Our service provider hasn’t been able to give us information on why some of these channels act differently or why dedicated hosts seem to perform worse than the other servers, so we are continuing to try different options to try and resolve the lag issue. As usual, we will post another survey to gather information after this weekend, when the channels have had some time to be played on for a few days. The survey link will be provided here in this post as well as posted in our community platforms. We’d appreciate your active participation and feedback on these surveys. Thank you for your continued patience. Sincerely, The BatMjollnir
