A little over a week has passed, the [b]dust has settled[/b] a bit and it took some time for us to get used to, but the realization has kicked in: [b]Godhood is out in Early Access![/b] Thank you if you purchased an Early Access copy!
And thanks to those of you who took the time and effort to [b]report bugs[/b], [b]give us feedback[/b] or [b]share your experiences[/b] on the forums![b] We’re trying to respond as much as we can[/b], fix issues [b]as fast we can[/b], and take all your feedback and suggestions[b] into our plans to improve the game[/b] going forward.
We haven’t missed the [b]mixed reviews[/b] and the well-considered [b]critical feedback[/b] either. Last Thursday we sat down with the entire team to distill the [b]main issues[/b] people have with Godhood.
[h1]These are the most common points of feedback we've heard from you:[/h1]
[list][*] A [b]lack of mechanical depth[/b] in the gameplay experience; there aren’t enough [b]strategic options[/b] and the choices that you make don’t feel meaningful enough - this also discourages multiple playthroughs.
[*] There are [b]no consequences[/b] from failure and no [b]sudden challenges[/b] to overcome.
[*] There is a [b]disconnect[/b] between the [b]fantasy of being a god[/b] and what you[b] actually do[/b] in the game.
[*] The [b]world doesn't feel alive[/b], where you're the only active force.
[*] The Sacraments are [b]unbalanced[/b]; forcing you to focus on quick, high damage, or grind for a long time.

Coming Soon: The 'Will of the People' update[/h1]
Look forward to us working to expand and improve Godhood with these topics in mind during Early Access. We'll be starting off with the "Will of the People" update. This update will be focused on [b]increasing mechanical depth[/b], adding [b]more challenge[/b] and raising the [b]consequences of your actions[/b].

[*] It introduces [b]Enthusiasm[/b], which shows how excited your worshippers are about your religion. Go out on the Sacrament while they are excited to [b]get a boost[/b], but wait too long with a Sacrament and the [b]people's enthusiasm will plummet,[/b] causing bad things to happen for your religion!
[*] Tied to this is [b]Tribute[/b]. Resources gathered in your temple site are placed in your [b]tribute[/b], and only by[b] winning a Sacrament[/b] will you earn [b]your (and the enemy's!) tributes[/b]. Lose, and the enemy gets their pick of your tribute...!
[*] We have a couple of [b]other exciting features[/b] planned for this update. [b]Divine intervention in the Sacramen[/b]t, many [b]more building options [/b]to expand your temple site at the cost of [b]materials[/b], a reworking of the [b]Faith[/b] [b]system[/b], and [b]boosting your disciples abilities[/b] for the next Sacrament, to name a few.
