Hello everyone! The wait is over and I'm happy to unleash Dystopika 1.1. This update ended up having much more than originally planned and I'm excited to see what you will create.
For a quick rundown of the new features, I'd like to turn things over to DeLindsay Gaming, who compiled this excellent overview during the update's private beta phase alongside his usual work unlocking the extraordinary things that can be done with Dystopika.
What's Next
The next update, v1.2, is dedicated to Photo Mode and improving not only how you capture your creations but also bringing several photo mode settings into your city settings for a whole slew of new city-building vibes.
Expect new tools for plotting camera movements, improved camera controls, being able to save presets, and likely a few more surprises.
I'm also looking ahead to 1.3 where I will start unlocking modding possibilities.
Release Notes

What's New

Highways & Monorails
There are three types of new Transportation-themed props: Small Roads, Wide Roads, and Monorails. These props are controllable curves that can be placed anywhere on the map and height adjusted with five control points.
When close to the ground, these new types will clear away any low-lying density to prevent awkward building collisions.
New Buildings & Props
6 new buildings (with 2 height variants) have been added to the existing districts. New props include the aforementioned Transportation paths as well as satellite dishes, mounted signs, and more.
While this is a small content update for buildings, there have been significant changes to props to set better foundations for future mod support, primarily in the form of...
Advanced Prop Controls
Props now have a series of advanced controls to modify size, rotation, and other settings based on the specific prop. Press TAB to bring up the Advanced Controls panel to explore what you can do.
See Quality of Life updates for what's new with existing props.
New Languages
French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Thai, Indonesian, and Russian has been added to the game.
Achievements are now translated as well.
I am also now opening up our translation project on CrowdIn to the public to contribute to additional languages or improve the existing translations. Join our Discord to learn more about contributing in the #dys_translations channel.
Updated Clone Tool
This was a secret debug tool which has now been polished and improved.
Before moving a building hold ALT to clone the highlighted building. Any attached props will be cloned as well.
Control Tips
To better expose the Clone Tool above and other more secretive power tools (like Light Brush size), there are now context-aware control tips in the lower left. They can be disabled in the settings.
Unified Billboards
Billboards are now represented just by their aspect ratio in the Prop menu, and can be resized with Advanced Controls (TAB) to be tiny or massive.
The Custom Media button has also been relocated to the Advanced Controls menu where there is also a HEX colour and brightness control.
Billboards from your old saves should still work, but there may be slight color/brightness shifts due to the new color and brightness controls.
Unified Text Tool
Similar to Unified Billboards, the Text props have been unified to a single prop with Advanced Controls (TAB) to set size, orientation, and colour.
Air Traffic Control
In City Settings you can now control how much Air Traffic your city has - or turn it off completely.
