Last week we announced to you, the estimated dates when Age of Water will be available for purchase on Steam. This wonderful news raised several related questions, which we plan to regularly collect on the game's official platforms and prepare answers for you.
Today we will answer the main questions about PVP, game localization and the fate of CBT buyers.
Q. Will you send an activation code to those who purchased the CBT?
If you purchased one of the Early Access packs back in the summer, you will get a copy of the game once it's launched on Steam.
Q. How much will the game cost and what languages will be featured in the game?
The release version will feature all the languages that are listed on the game's Steam page (Russian, English, German, French, Spanish and Simplified Chinese). We will tell you about the prices later, stay tuned.
Q. Are there any projects to translate the game into other languages?
The game is localized into a number of languages at release time. We will see later if it will need any additional language.
Q. Is the game all about PVP?
PvP in the game is optional, mostly you do fight AI enemies etc. in the open world.
Q. When you say PvP is optional do you mean I can play the game with PvP disabled between players but players are still present or is it more like a private instance where other players (aside from friends I invite) can't join at all?
As of now you will always witness other players in the game, and they can see you. You won't be able to attack each other unless you deliberately go to a special area. So if you'd like to play the game without ever engaging in PvP activities, you can totally do it.
Q. Will it have a true open world, accessible for all players on the server, or separate maps with a certain player limit?
It is a "layered" scheme. As in, all the players are on a single server, but they are distributed between different instances. So if you want to play with your friends, you have to make sure you're in the same one
Q. Is this game only an MMO or can we play solo, like making quests to the main lore, etc?
The game has a PvE story-based campaign.
Q. So this game is an MMO. Does it mean that it will be f2p, as most MMO's are?
Age of Water will be a paid title, you purchase it once and there will be no subscription.
We’ll collect your questions in the future and definitely prepare part two. So, don’t be shy and write to us on all our official pages: Facebook, X, Instagram, Discord or Steam.
