Lightning F.53
Lightning F.53 is an export modification based on the Lightning F.6, developed in th mid 1960s and intended for supply to the Saudi Air Force. It is equipped with two 30 mm ADEN cannons with 120 rounds of ammunition per each cannon. The suspended weaponry includes two Firestreak or Red Top guided air-to-air missiles, up to four 540 or two 1000 pound bombs and also the aircraft can be equipped with SNEB unguided rockets that can be installed on both underwing as well as overwing pylons.
