Railways of the world have historically played host to a vast variety of freight, none perhaps as diverse and thriving than livestock, which needed bespoke wagon designs for each member of the railway-travelling family kingdom. This is true as well in New Zealand, and with NZTS Workshops’ latest addition to Train Simulator, you can take NZ Stock Wagons across their scenic Midland Line.
Livestock was moved by rail in New Zealand from the dawn of railways until the 1980s, and the NZ Stock Wagon Pack 01 features various wagon types in a multitude of conditions spanning the decades-long lifespan. Carry sheep, cattle and horses in 4-wheel and bogied wagons, as well as converted sub variants to haul the likes of vegetables. Each wagon has different types, unloaded, half loaded and fully loaded, each with different weights and braking characteristics, as well as clean and weathered conditions.
Experience the challenge of hauling livestock across a pair of scenarios for the Midland Line: Aickens - Springfield route, in both Career and Standard format:
More scenarios are available on the Steam Workshop online and in-game. Train Simulator’s Steam Workshop scenarios are free and easy to download, adding many more hours of exciting gameplay. With scenarios being added daily, why don’t you check it out now!
