The Hi-Line Subdivision is a key part of BNSF's bustling northern transcontinental line stretching between Chicago and Seattle and features a mix of single- and double-track main line that is host to a constant flow of rail traffic, including BNSF intermodal, manifest, and grain movements as well as Amtrak's Empire Builder.
