Discover scenic Bavarian countryside with Regensburg – Ingolstadt for Train Simulator Classic from RSSLO.
Originally opened in 1874 this single-track mainline was initially constructed to provide a link to the Ingolstadt state fortress. Today this line is used for public transport services between these two historic major cities and important goods traffic serving local industries. Follow the Danube River from Ingolstadt passing Neustadt and Saal (Donau) before crossing the river over the Sinzinger Eisenbahnbrücke truss bridge and proceeding into Regensburg, the capital of the Upper Palatinate region.
Locomotives featured on this route include the multi-purpose DB BR 143 originally introduced in 1985 and the classic German electric DB BR 101, both of which handle passenger duties here. Alongside these is the DB BR 151 covering heavy freight operations on the route.
Get ready to explore historic towns and picturesque countryside of Bavaria with the Regensburg–Ingolstadt railway from RSSLO.
