Warning:

This contains content that may be unsettling or distressing, including disturbing imagery, flashing lights and loud noises. The demo is intended for mature audience and is not suitable for children below 16+. The developer behind this demo is not responsible for any health damage. All the shown and mentioned characters are fictional.

Prologue:

The job was assigned to the hitman known as Eyan, who was tasked with eliminating a target located in an abandoned building in a field near Moscow in 2082. Eyan completed the assignment successfully; however, in order to obtain the remaining half of the one-million-ruble paycheck, he had to pass through a malfunctioning/glitching door, ending up in the Liminal Vortex Realm (LVR). As the limits of LVR were breached, memories began to dissipate, adding a layer of complexity to the situation. Eyan awakens from a vivid dream about a girl in the basement as he attempts to escape LVR while uncovering forgotten mysteries about his life.

Features:

Immersiveness: realistic graphics, atmospheric sound design, cyberpunk-like interface design, and a dark atmosphere.

Inventory: Find supplies, items, and tools to help you survive through the Liminal Vortex Realm. Such tools will be vital for your escape. Utilize time management to effectively navigate the spatial inventory.

Player Character: One of the key mechanics is the Cognitive Interface Implant (C2). This is an item that is used as equipment for the brain slot to see the HUD that contains sanity, physical health, and other necessary data. Notwithstanding, if the sanity is being affected, then C2 will be damaged, which at one point will give a VHS effect since the eyes are linked with the brain.

Entity: Be aware of the monster that will stalk you throughout the gameplay...

Puzzles: In order to progress to the next sub-level, the player must solve logically allocated puzzles throughout the sub-level that are shown via the objective system, aka "Escape Room.".

Level: According to the urban The Backrooms lore, this demo demonstrates Level 1: "Habitable Zone," which contains different locations such as interconnecting corridors with pipes and electrical utilities, lootable rooms, and spatial parking lots.

Storyline: Discover the unsettling backstory of the main character's personality creation through the non-obvious narrative.
