Most real-time strategy games are over complicated and hard to get into. Smelogs Playground has one faction, a simple but unique Technology Tree with great outplay potential, easy controls and shorter match time.Our goal is to create an RTS game that is newcomer friendly and challenges experienced players.Technology Tree - Dynamic Upgrade
The dynamic upgrade mechanic allows units to become buildings and vice versa. Upgrading restores the health of a Smelog. While downgrading refunds some of the invested energy, when timed correctly allows for great outplays. Buildings can block entire paths and shape the playground to create choke points or to set up an ambush. Also allows for All-ins and epic last stands.Quickly adjust your strategy and/or perform some neat tactical tricks.
Besides the simple Tech Tree Smelogs Playground has all the RTS genre essentials you would expect from a great RTS game.

Base Editor - Strategic start
In Smelogs Playground you don’t have to learn and execute an extensive build order you can define how your base should look before the match has even started. You can place units and buildings in a deck building like mechanic for strategic depth right from the start of the match.
Generated Maps - Adapt and overcome
Randomly generated maps test your ability to adapt to the surroundings and use the given terrain to your advantage. For competitive integrity and fairness the generated maps are mirror in both axes.
