On July 12th, 1961 A-4E, a highly modernized version of the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk carrier-capable light attack aircraft, took to the skies for the first time. The A-4E boasts a new, more powerful engine, tactical air navigation system, strengthened airframe with additional weapon pylons, toss-bombing computer, and low-altitude bombing system. Around 500 units were produced, and their number one importer was Israel.

The A-4E attack aircraft from the Israeli research tree will be available for purchase for Golden Eagles. A-4E isn’t the fastest aircraft of its rank, but it’s quite maneuverable and extremely versatile thanks to its amazing selection of suspended weaponry. It’s also equipped with two 30 mm DEFA 553 cannons — powerful and accurate, allowing for quick and comfortable victories over enemy aircraft. 50 mm of bulletproof glass will save the life of the pilot, while countermeasures and RWR will help survive missile attacks.
