Hello everyone! We are incredibly excited and proud to announce the official release of The Rangers in the South on Thursday, January 9th. Only one week left! It has been a long journey filled with dedication and effort, and we can't wait for you to experience it. In addition to confirming that the game will be available in multiple languages from day one, we want to share some details about the endgame mechanics we've been refining over the past few days. As you may already know, the game features roguelike mechanics, meaning each run or character will develop a unique combat strategy based on a selection of abilities. This ensures that, eventually—through luck or strategy—you might defeat the final boss of the game. If you reach this point, congratulations! But this is where the real challenge begins. Once you defeat the final boss, a Final Boss Counter will unlock. However, with each victory, all enemies will gain 10% more health and damage, progressively increasing the difficulty. All this data will be compiled into a global leaderboard, showcasing the players who have defeated the final boss the most times. The player holding the world record will have their name proudly displayed on the game's main menu. (The leaderboard will also be available in the Steam community.) To help you overcome these escalating challenges, we've added additional mechanics to aid your progress—but we won't spoil everything just yet! We can't wait to see who will claim the title of First World Champion. Additionally, we have many ideas for introducing new mechanics, abilities, and content.
