There's a quote from Douglas Adams' sci-fi classic Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy—when describing the presence of the Galactic Hyperspace Planning Council's ships, he wrote: "Motionless they hung, huge, heavy, steady in the sky, a blasphemy against nature.
